About Nollaig

Nollaig is Kells Christmas Festival, bringing together a week of festive events, music, community, family activities and Christmas celebrations across the town.

2026 marks the very first year of Nollaig, and we hope it will be the beginning of something that grows year after year. The festival is being created to bring people together, support local businesses, showcase local talent and make Christmas in Kells feel even more special.

From live music and choirs to markets, family events, festive gatherings and the Christmas lights, Nollaig is about creating a brilliant atmosphere in the town and giving people plenty of reasons to get involved.

For the festival to grow, community involvement will be hugely important. We cannot build Nollaig without the support of local people, businesses, performers, volunteers and community groups.

Our aim is to create a festival that feels welcoming, local and full of life, and one that the whole community can be proud of for years to come.
